When you take the leap and book a boudoir session, you are stepping outside your comfort zone.

There are many common questions I get asked when talking to women about their sessions.

Here is a list I have compiled for you to help give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!

Are my images shared online?

Not unless you sign a permission slip allowing me to. Your comfort level is most important and these are intimate style images for you. Any images you see posted on my website or social media accounts were approved by the client. You have full control over which images are shared on social media and website. When you come back to the studio for your reveal you will have an opportunity to sign a permission slip.

Is hair and makeup included?

Yes! Getting your makeup and hair done before the photo shoot is a huge part of the overall experience. Makeup for professional photos is much different than makeup you use for everyday life. It is also a way to for you to relax before your shoot and feel pampered. My makeup artist will work with you to create the the perfect look, whether you want natural or glam. You can feel confident that you will look flawless!

Do you retouch my images?

I do light retouching to enhance an image, smooth skin, remove distractions, and make you look your best. I will take out a bruise, blemish, even a scar if you would like me to. I just do not do body reshaping or contouring, as I believe it’s important that you look like…well… you!

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, for products there are a couple of payment plan options offered! Please inquire for more information on those. For the session there is a booking retainer to secure your session date, with the balance due the week before your session.

Where can I get outfits?

When you book your session with me, I send you a list of online shopping stores to find just what you need! And, although shopping is fun, using some of your favorite items that you already have can make you feel even sexier! It could be your favorite t-shirt or an off the shoulder sweater with cute panties. Or your partners button down collared shirt. With boudoir, sometimes less is more. Fancy lingerie is fun but you don’t have to spend a lot of money on a new wardrobe for your shoot. Think of things that are sexy and subtle or have sentimental value. If you love vintage lingerie, or the pin-up/retro look, then yes, I encourage you to explore your options with the list I send you and I will help you along the way.

What kind of print products do you offer?

The most popular item, by far, are the gorgeous albums! There are also keepsake boxes with prints, gallery wall art, and gift options.

Are digital files available for purchase?

Digital files can be purchased individually or as a collection. Most people go with a value collection that offers print products and high-resolution digital files.

How can I calm my nerves if I start to freak out?

Start by embracing those nerves because they are a reminder that you are doing something truly amazing for yourself and that great things happen when you step outside your comfort zone! I help you be well prepared for the unknown, and I am just an email or a phone call away!

How many outfits can I wear at my photography session?

This can vary based on complexity of outfits chosen and type of your session. An outdoor shoot usually has 3-4 looks, where as a full studio shoot can have up to 5. This might just be the one place where nude counts as an outfit! (a.k.a. the birthday suit!)

Where is the boudoir studio located?

The studio is located in Downtown Santa Rosa, in the Historic Railroad Square District. You can find me in the Western Hotel building, adjacent to the Train Depot. In fact, ride the SMART train and it will take you right to the studio!
