(And Why It Doesn’t Have to Suck This Year)

We all know it—shopping for swimsuits can feel like a full-on emotional rollercoaster. Something you actually have to pump yourself up for and watch what you’re eating before you even take that leap.

But, now most of the swimsuits are found online. And there’s a myriad of options.

So I decided to do the homework for you.

I dug through swimsuit websites to find the ones that are actually worth your time (and money). These are brands that offer a wide range of sizes, real customer reviews, and thoughtful designs for real bodies. And no, I didn’t just grab the first 7 results on Google—I was picky, because you deserve better than that.

One thing that seriously bugged me? So many brands are still showing every single style on the same body type. That doesn’t help anyone. You deserve to see how a suit might look on you, not just someone with one body type.

Whether you’ve got a long torso, a petite frame, a big bust, loose skin, curves for days, or you’re rocking an apple or pear shape—you are not a one-size-fits-all kind of woman. And your swimsuit shouldn’t be either.

Some of these sites might look familiar—I’ve recommended a couple of them to my boudoir clients because they also carry gorgeous lingerie and really understand how to flatter a woman’s shape. The ones I picked all offer:

Adore Me is a brand I recommend all the time to my boudoir clients—and for good reason. They get that women come in all shapes and sizes, offering swimwear from S to 3X, with plenty of options that actually support and flatter larger busts and curvier figures.

Their website includes super helpful categories like “Boob Support” and “Full Butt Coverage” so you’re not stuck guessing what’s going to work. Oh—and they’re sustainably made, too. Let me introduce you to my absolute favorite bikini swimsuit—The Vetchy Laguna suit. This suit totally nailed it when it comes to comfort, support, and a perfect fit. I’ve never felt more held in and confident in a swimsuit, and that’s saying a lot.

Their suits are beautifully structured without feeling stiff, and they somehow manage to hug all the right places while still being super flattering and stylish. If you’re looking for a suit that gives you real bust support and fits like it was made for your body—Vetchy is it. This one’s my go-to every single summer.

Bravissimo

If you’ve got a larger bust and are tired of swimsuits that offer zero support, Bravissimo is a game-changer. Okay, this company made my list before, and it had to be because of their cute styles!
